The former VA Tech QB and Nevada Native is Endorsed by Former Congressman Cresent Hardy and Respected Nevada Sheriffs
Las Vegas, NV—Fourth-generation Nevada native, lifelong conservative, and small businessman Cody K. Whipple today announced his campaign for Congress in Nevada’s 4th Congressional District, pledging to be a voice for working families, local communities, and small business owners left behind by Washington’s failed policies.
Whipple launches his campaign with the endorsement of former Congressman Cresent Hardy, a respected voice for Nevada and a champion for common-sense governance.
Whipple also enters the race with endorsements from well-known law enforcement leaders across rural Nevada:
- Sheriff Kerry Lee, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (ret.)
- Sheriff Ken Elgan, Esmeralda County Sheriff (ret.)
- Sheriff Dahl Bradfield, Lincoln County Sheriff (ret.)
- Deputy Chief Joe Szalay, Mesquite Police Department (ret.)
“As a conservative, a father, a business owner, and a rancher, I’ve seen firsthand how career politicians like Steven Horsford have failed us with their cost-raising votes and tone-deaf policies that ignore our suburban and rural communities,” said Whipple. “Nevada needs a Congressman who understands the unique needs of all our people. I’m not looking for a title—I’m stepping up to fight for our values, our way of life, and our future.”
A fourth-generation Nevadan, Cody Whipple was born and raised on his family’s cattle ranch in Hiko, where he learned the value of grit, faith, and personal responsibility. After earning a football scholarship to Virginia Tech and graduating with a degree in animal science, he returned home with his wife, Dana, to raise their daughters and build a small business from the ground up.
Today, Cody is the founder and operator of a regional two-way communications network serving first responders, school districts, construction companies, and emergency personnel across Southern Nevada, Northern Arizona, Southern Utah, and Eastern California. His work has provided reliable communications for public safety and critical infrastructure, giving him a deep understanding of how government impacts the day-to-day operations of both businesses and local agencies.
“Cody is a principled conservative who understands what makes this district work—faith, family, freedom, and a relentless work ethic,” said former Congressman Cresent Hardy. “His commitment to Nevada, his integrity, and his firsthand knowledge of the issues make him exactly the kind of leader we need in Congress.”
Whipple’s campaign is centered on solving the real issues impacting Nevadans—bringing down the high cost of living and housing, protecting Nevada’s water and natural resources, supporting parents’ rights in education, and holding Washington accountable.
“I understand what it means to stretch a dollar and make payroll, to put your family’s future on the line to build something from nothing,” Whipple said. “I’ll bring that same drive and cost savings discipline to Congress, and I’ll never forget who I work for—the people of Nevada.”
Nevada’s 4th Congressional District is one of the most diverse in the nation—stretching from suburban North Las Vegas through the heart of Nevada’s rural counties—and Whipple believes he’s uniquely positioned to bring those voices together and deliver real results.
