Las Vegas, NV—Republican congressional candidate and Nevada businessman Cody Whipple today announced the endorsement of former Nevada Lieutenant Governor Lorraine Hunt-Bono, one of the state’s most respected leaders and longtime advocates for small business, economic development, and working families.
“Cody will be a strong voice for our working families and local business community,” said Hunt-Bono, who served as Lieutenant Governor from 1999 to 2007 and previously as a Clark County Commissioner. “I believe Cody will be a tireless advocate for policies that put Nevadans first. I’m proud to endorse Republican Cody Whipple for Congress.”
Whipple is running in Nevada’s 4th Congressional District, which spans parts of Clark, Lincoln, Lyon, Mineral, Nye, and Esmeralda Counties. A lifelong Nevadan, Whipple is a small businessman, cattle rancher, and youth coach whose campaign is focused on lowering the cost of living, defending parental rights, and putting Nevadans first.
“I’m honored to receive the support of Lorraine Hunt-Bono,” said Whipple. “She has always led with integrity and fought for the people of Nevada. I’m grateful for her trust and support, and I’m committed to continuing her legacy of standing up for hardworking Nevadans, protecting our values, and getting results that matter.” Whipple has previously been endorsed by former Congressman Cresent Hardy and former North Las Vegas Mayor and State Senator John Lee. His campaign is rapidly gaining momentum as the leading Republican effort to unseat Democrat Steve Horsford in 2026.
