Cody K Whipple Wins Republican Nomination for Congress, Advances to General Election Against Longtime Incumbent Steven Horsford

LAS VEGAS, NV – Fourth-generation Nevadan, businessman and rancher Cody K Whipple has secured the Republican nomination for Nevada’s 4th Congressional District and will advance to the November general election against longtime incumbent Congressman Steven Horsford.

Whipple’s victory comes after a campaign centered on affordability, energy independence, public safety, water security, and putting Nevada families first.

“I’m grateful to every volunteer, supporter, donor, and voter who believed in our campaign and our vision for a stronger Nevada. This campaign has always been about the people who call Nevada home and the opportunities that make our state special,” said Cody K Whipple.

Whipple said the general election will offer voters a clear choice between a Nevada-first approach and what he described as a Washington-centered political establishment increasingly disconnected from the challenges facing working families across the Silver State.

“For years, Nevadans have been left to fend for themselves while politicians in Washington, D.C., focus on political agendas that have little to do with the reality here in Nevada,” Whipple said. “Nevadans deserve a representative who delivers more than a photo op. The people I speak with are looking for someone who understands their struggles and can deliver results.”

Whipple emphasized that “Nevada First” is more than a campaign slogan.

“To me, Nevada First means putting Nevadans at the top of the priority list every single day,” said Whipple. “No matter where you come from, Nevada has become home to generations of families looking for opportunity and a better life. I’m proud to be a fourth-generation Nevadan, but I also love and appreciate my friends and neighbors who came here as first-generation Nevadans seeking the same opportunities that have drawn people to this state for generations.”

“Nevada’s story is one of hard work, independence, and opportunity. Whether your family arrived here 150 years ago or 15 months ago, if you work hard, contribute to your community, and believe in the future of this state, you belong here. Nevada First means fighting for those families, lowering costs, creating jobs, protecting our communities, and ensuring the next generation has even greater opportunities.”

Whipple concluded by thanking his family for their support throughout the campaign.

“I especially want to thank my wife, Dana, and our three daughters. Running for Congress requires sacrifices from the entire family, and I could not do this without their love, support, and encouragement. They are my greatest blessing and my greatest motivation.”

“Tonight is an important milestone, but the real work begins now. I look forward to earning the support of voters across Nevada’s 4th Congressional District and delivering the kind of leadership that puts Nevada and Nevadans first.”
