STATEMENT: Cody K. Whipple Reacts to President Trump’s Las Vegas Visit

Las Vegas, NV – Following President Donald J. Trump’s economic address at Red Rock Casino today, small business owner, rancher, and fourth-generation Nevadan Cody K Whipple, candidate for U.S. Congress (NV-04), released the following statement alongside his wife, Dana, after attending the event:

“Nevadans don’t need political spin; they see reality every time they buy groceries, pay their electric bill, or fill up their gas tank,” said Cody K Whipple. “When you compare market-first economic policies to the reckless spending driven by Washington, the contrast is clear. Lower taxes, lighter regulation, and domestic energy production keep costs down, while government-mandated inflation eats away at household paychecks.

“The fundamental fight in Nevada is between a free-market economy that rewards hard work and a far-left socialist agenda that wants to dictate how we live and run our businesses. Yet, local representatives like Susie Lee, Dina Titus, and Steven Horsford refuse to stand up to the radical elements taking over their party. When socialists call to dismantle constitutional checks and balances and eliminate private enterprise, their silence is deafening. Letting that agenda win is devastating for Nevada families and working-class communities.

“Representative Horsford voted against his own constituents on essential tax relief-including keeping taxes off tips, overtime pay, and senior benefits. He didn’t vote that way because it helps Nevadans; he had no choice because D.C. party bosses demanded it. I’m not running just against Steven Horsford; I’m running to end the party-boss playbook and put Nevadans first.”
